CNA/HHA

Title:  Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide

Reports To:  Clinical Supervisor, Registered Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must be a high school graduate, or completed a GED.

  2. A person who has successfully completed a state established or other training program that meets the requirements of S 484.369(a) and a competency evaluation program, or show two-year experience in hospital, home care, or nursing home setting or state tested CNA.

  3. Is at least 18 years of age.

  4. Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health.

  5. Has ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.

  6. Has satisfactory references from previous employers.

  7. Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.

  8. Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and the impaired.

  9. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.

  10. Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.

  11. Has access to reliable source of transportation.

  12. Pass written skill test with 85%, CNA’s/HHA’s that work in home care must pass skills competency.
