Often we receive requests to assist individuals with medications in their home. Some clients cannot see well enough to withdraw insulin into a syringe, or they may have difficulty understanding the frequency or dosages prescribed for their medications.

This nurse could also instruct about the medications, the pharmaceuticals, side effects, the appropriate ways the drugs should be taken, use of the glucometer, and dietary instruction.

This nurse could also order any supplies that the client may need such as medication dispenser cups, alcohol swabs, syringes, lancets, glucometers or strips, and arrange for home delivery.
